About me
I AM SO PLEASED TO MEET YOU.

Throughout my early life, bodywork was always a part of my family and social group. Not only was I assisting in the care of my elderly family members from a very young age, I also grew up around family members having special needs. My loved ones were my loved ones. Period. Everyone was valued as they were.

My Bachelor’s degree is in English with a concentration in Literature and minor in Environmental Science. I was a massage practitioner for 7 years before graduate school. In Occupational Therapy school, integrating my life’s experiences and becoming a better healthcare practitioner became core goals in my education. I dug into occupational science, neuroscience, functional anatomy and physiology, explored sensory processing and its various interventions- especially equine therapy and weighted/compression blankets.

My education and life experience have opened my eyes to the failures of our medical system, which led me to a strong conviction:
OPTIMAL PATIENT CARE IS HOLISTIC, INTEGRATIVE WHOLE PERSON CARE.
My Philosophy:
I believe every person is a thread in the tapestry of humanity. If we can see these threads and have them woven into society, our communities can heal and become ever more resilient. Patients will experience their worth and wellness in my work. By serving in this way, I am fulfilling my thread’s purpose.
Thoughts on Adaptability:
There’s no one way to work with each person. When first out of school, I wanted to experience as many environments as possible. From schools, to hospitals, to skilled nursing facilities, to homecare. Exploring all of those environments guided me to my skill set.
Life Outside of work:
I spend quality time with my incredible child, Onyx, as well as my 12-year-old doggo (who also doubles as a therapy dog), Lady Nymphadora Joy. I have a deep passion for immersing myself in various cultures through travel, cuisine, fashion, music, and the diverse realm of creative arts. Additionally, I enjoy exploring the breathtaking nature of the Pacific Northwest and fulfilling my role as a community radio DJ every other Sunday.
